Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information the Stop the Timer app ("the app", "we", "us") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using the app you agree to the practices described here.

Information the app collects

The app does not require you to create an account, and does not ask for your real name, email address, or password. The information involved is limited to:

• A username you choose. To play multiplayer games (challenges and rooms), you pick a display name. This name is stored so it can be kept unique and shown to the other players in your game.
• Game data. When you create or join a multiplayer game, information about that game and your results in it (such as scores and round outcomes) is stored so players can be matched and compare results.
• On-device settings and stats. Your app settings and personal statistics are stored locally on your device and are not sent to us.
• Advertising data. The app shows ads through Google AdMob, which may collect a device advertising identifier and related information to provide and measure ads. See "Advertising" below.

How the information is used

• To let you claim a unique username and play multiplayer games with others.
• To store and display game results to the players in a given game.
• To display advertisements that help support the app.

We do not sell your information.

Third-party services

The app relies on the following third-party services, each with its own privacy policy:

• Google AdMob — serves the ads shown in the app. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Supabase — hosts the database that stores usernames and multiplayer game data. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.

Advertising

Ads are provided by Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners may use a device advertising identifier and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where permitted. You can reset or limit your advertising identifier in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads on Android). Data retention and deletion

You can delete the data associated with your username at any time using the in-app reset option (in Settings), which releases your username and removes the games you created and your score entries. Locally stored settings and stats are cleared at the same time. If you would like to request deletion of any remaining data, contact us at the address below.

Children's privacy

The app is not directed to children under the age required by your country to consent to the processing of personal data, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from such children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date above.
